Lightning McQueen

Lightning McQueen is a anthropomorphic race-car who appears as one of the main characters in the Disney-Pixar film Cars, its sequels Cars 2 and Cars 3 and the short series Cars-Toons. He is voiced by both Owen Wilson and Keith Ferguson.

In the first film, He is a rookie racer, sponsored by the Rust-Eze company, who focuses on his goals to win the race and moves from En route to California, along with Mack, but ended up being detoured by The Delinquent Road Hazards and getting lost in Radiator Springs, where he meets Mater, Sally, Doc Hudson, and the rest of the crew. At the end, Mater, Doc, and the crew joins Lightning and Mack for their next races.

In the second film, Lightning and Mater became best friends, along with Sally and other crew from Radiator Springs, though he finds out that he misses Doc Hudson, who died between the first film and the second film. Then, he and his crew traveled to Tokyo for the World Grand Prix racing event, sponsored by Miles Axelrod (who promoted his bio-fuel company called Allinol). While Mater meets Finn McMissile, Lightning continues to race in the competition, but needed help to stop the Lemons, led by Professor Zündapp (or simply Professor Z), the second film's antagonist. At the end, Lightning and his crew traveled back home to Radiator Springs.

In the third film, Lightning is facing off his new rival Jackson Storm (the third film's antagonist who is really faster than him), but gets crashed accidently. He is then recovered and decides what he is done to become a seven-time Piston Cup racing legend. Later, after Rust-eze was brought by new sponsor Sterling to permantly retire to a life as a paid spokesperson, Lightning meets Cruz Ramirez (a technician and Lightning's lifelong fan) and gets help by training in the simulator and then at the beach in order to get back to his next race and beat Storm. After that, he made his decision to head off to Thunder Hollow with his disguise covered in mud being called by the name of Chester Whipplefilter. He and Cruz are in the Demolition Derby led by Miss Fritter. They avoid Fritter and Cruz wins the derby but trips over a water truck accidentally, washing off Lightning and blowing his cover inadvertently. Then, Lightning and Cruz argued about being a trainer or a racer like Lightning is. Later, the two went to meet Smokey (a mentor of Doc Hudson) alongside River Scott, Junior Johnson, and Louise Nash and Lightning wishes that he could have seen Doc Hudson back in his racing days. Then, Cruz and Lightning, along the the crew, are heading to Florida for the big race while Sheriff, Lizzie and Red are staying behind. Lightning helps and Sterling orders Cruz to leave but race against Storm to win. The two win the race and Sterling is decided to keep racing in the next. At the end, Cruz became a new racer; Lightning became the "Fabulous Lightning McQueen"; and Rust-eze is now owned by Tex so the two can now race for him around Wiley's Butte.

He would become the official member of The Amity Park Adventure Team, making Lightning McQueen the only Disney character as well as the only Pixar character to join that group.
